It is a fact that no Jewish white guys have been involved in any airline bombing attempts in the past eight years. Not even the Mossad.
Yet I can guarantee you that in the aftermath of Nigerian Muslim Abdul Farouk Umar Abdulmutallab trying to blow up a plane, there will be hundreds if not thousands of white, middle-aged Jewish guys (not to mention 80-year-old grandmothers) “selected” for extra screening on domestic flights between places like Peoria and Reno just to show that we’re not being “unfair” to Muslims whose flights originated in Lagos, continued through Amsterdam on to Detroit which has the largest concentration of Muslims in the United States.
I can also, with a reasonable degree of certainty, tell you that there have been no incidents of white, middle aged Jewish psychiatrists holding officer commissions in the U.S. military killing 13 people on base.
Yet, there were probably more than a few such officers who were afraid to drop the dime on their Muslim counterpart Nidal Malik “AbduWali” Hasan who, it turns out, the government knew was consorting with radicals prior to his November 5 killing spree at Ft. Hood. Can’t be seen to “profile” guys like Hasan and Abdulmutallab, can we?
Let’s stop being politically correct long enough to acknowledge a few things.
First is that almost 100 per cent of recent terror activities has come from radical Muslims who want to destroy our way of life. Even the Irish Republican Army has, for the most part, departed the international stage.
Second is that most of our domestic anti-terrorist policies are eye candy for what the Federal Government assumes is a docile public which will put up with almost any crap to consider itself safe.
Third is that when the eye candy is shown to be exactly that, it is that docile public which comes to the rescue as in the passengers who subdued Abdulmutallab on the Delta flight and the civilian police who took out Hasan.
Finally, the people who we pay to keep us safe are long on public displays and short on common sense.
Abdulmutallab’s FATHER, for God’s sake, went to the United States embassy to tell them of his concerns about his son. And this wasn’t just any father. This was the recently retired CEO of one of the largest banks in Africa!
Did that give U.S. officials any pause about allowing Abdulmutallab to get on a U.S. flag carrier headed for Detroit?
Hasan had email communications with a radical imam and the government knew it!
Did that raise any questions as to his fitness to counsel veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
So, you’ll forgive me when some dweeb in a blue shirt wants to run my Acer Aspire One laptop through the scanner twice on my way to Reno, El Paso or Denver and I question if that person could find a bomb if it looked like one and were labeled bomb on the crate.
And you’ll forgive me when I ask a very logical question: Why should the law abiding passengers on a plane be unarmed? We don’t have enough money to air marshals on every flight? Why not seek volunteers?
Are mere citizens not smart enough to do what “authorities” can’t? What if Todd Beamer and his fellow passengers on United 93 had been allowed the tools to help them do what they tried to do without weapons?
Why don’t we apply common sense to keeping terrorists out of our commercial aircraft as opposed to the blue shirted dullards who only make things worse?
